International Overdose Awareness Day is a global event held on August 31st each year and aims to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of a drug-related death. This year HOPE Inc is working in collaboration with the event organizer Enlightening Hope Project to bring together community members, stakeholders, county officials, health providers and law enforcement. The program will include guest speakers, a resource fair, food, and tree lighting ceremony. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Recognizing those people who go unseen.”
