1980

HOPE is Born

Helping Ourselves Pursue Enrichment (HOPE) begins as a grass roots member-centric organization. Individuals utilizing behavioral health services in Pima County meet to provide peer support for navigating the system.

1992

HOPE
Incorporates

Incorporates in the
City of Tucson
to officially become
HOPE, INC.

1999

Birth
of The
Warm Line

HOPE’s Warm Line opens to callers
throughout Pima County, providing peer
support to individuals in need.

2002

HOPE
Joins
CPSA

HOPE becomes a Community Service
Provider in the Community Partnership of
Southern Arizona (CPSA) public behavioral
health network.

2011

Diversion Services

Diversion Services begins administering peer support to individuals involved in the Mental Health Court of Pima County.

2012

HOPE Opens Nueva Luz

HOPE’s Nueva Luz site becomes licensed as an outpatient clinic and expands services to include case management and therapy.

2014

100%
Peer Run

HOPE becomes the only 100% Peer and Family run Comprehensive Service Provider in the state of Arizona.

2016

HOPE Yuma Opens

HOPE opens site in Yuma, AZ, offering outpatient services and peer support.

2017

HOPE And The Cenpatico Network

HOPE becomes a Specialty Provider in the Cenpatico Network, providing services to bridge the gaps in behavioral health care with a focus on recovery, wellness and reintegration.

2019

HOPE Welcomes Apache Junction

HOPE opens 4th outpatient clinic in Apache Junction, co-located with Empowerment Systems. Offering outpatient services and peer support.

2020

HOPE Integrates With Wellness Connections

HOPE integrates the peer services offered by Wellness Connections – adding support centers in Douglas, Sierra Vista, Safford, and Nogales to the HOPE family.

2021

HOPE Nominated as Center for Excellence

HOPE is designated by Arizona Complete Health as a Peer and Family-Run Center for Excellence, the criteria for which include service excellence and community collaboration.

2022

HOPE and Spectrum Partner

HOPE and Spectrum Healthcare Group partner to fully blend peer-run behavioral health, psychiatry, and primary care, co-locating in centers throughout Southern, Southeastern, and Northern Arizona.
